Our Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

SITUATION:

BOND was contracted by Enbridge in 2015 and 2016 to enhance their meter and regulator stations as part of the overall AIM project. The scope of work included the construction of new greenfield stations and modifications to existing stations at 22 different locations throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. The work was centrally managed out of BOND’s fabrication shop in Rhode Island to efficiently coordinate the use of materials, equipment and craft resources.

CHALLENGES:

  • Work performed on live sites with limited workspaces
  • Site adjacent to multiple residential and commercial businesses
  • Coordinating power outages and tie-ins with Enbridge’s transmission group

SOLUTIONS:

  • BOND developed a site-specific safety and logistics plan with Enbridge that addressed critical work activities
  • Regular communication with area residents and businesses
  • Created schedule that identified dates and duration’s for BOND personnel, subcontractors, Enbridge’s engineering & construction team, Enbridge’s transmission team and third-party contractors

RESULTS:

  • Work completed with minimal disruption to surrounding areas and residents
  • BOND delivered project on-time while coordinating with multiple third-parties safely and successfully
